Leader on Loan

The Minnesota Leader on Loan program offers branches the opportunity of having a state board member or past state leader to provide branch support or programming. Please feel free to consult with the state president or leadership director about your request or needs.

AAUW-MN will cover the leaders transportation cost (as funds are available). The host branch is responsible for any meals or overnight accommodations.

A request form* should be submitted to the state board’s Leadership Development Director or President. Final approval is by the State President. Branches may request a specific person but final decisions will be based on topic expertise, availability and proximity to the host branch.   Click here for a LOL request form.

Board to Branch Calls (BBC)

Board to Branch Connections
The BBC program is intended as a way for the State Board members and the MN branches to form a more personal, helpful relationship. Since we have 30 branches in Minnesota, each Board member will initiate a call to their assigned two or three branch presidents twice a year. Board members are encouraged to be a mentor and friend to their branches. The idea is to learn how the branch is doing and see if we can be of any help. It’s also a great chance to hear ideas that can be shared with other branches, or for the branch members to give suggestions to the board. I suggest using some email as well as phone contacts if you like.
After I receive the branch connection summaries from State Board members, I will compile them into an “Information Exchange” format that I will put on the website and I’ll also send a copy to board members and branch presidents. If you have questions and/or suggestions about this program, please contact me via e-mail;csheggeby@gmail.com.   Look for the grid of branch assignments and board members below.
Thank you for your participation in what we feel is a valuable resource for the State Board and the branches.
