Welcome to the Brainerd Branch! We are a group of creative, intelligent women who are fun to interact with. Our group provides opportunities to learn, meet new people, and sample some great food! We support the AAUW mission by co-sponsoring public candidate forums and raising money for the Educational Foundation, including our local CLC scholarship. If you'd like to try us out, contact me.

BRAINERD Best of the Year

• In September, we had a talk by a female Crow Wing County commissioner who spoke on Women in Government.

• In October, we co-sponsored a candidates’ forum with the League of Women Voters. We also showed the film, Iron-Jawed Angels, to our members.

• In December, we heard a talk about Jon Hassler by one of our members who knew him well.

• In January, we sponsored a fundraiser quiz event, open to the public, to raise money for scholarships. We give two scholarships to Central Lakes Community College, and to raise money for those and for EF we sold coupon books for the Herberger’s Community Day Sale.
